The Westin Copley Place

The Westin Copley Place

Y’all know we moved to New England over the summer, and we are now in the Greater Boston area, about 45 minutes from the city. When we got here, it was a hectic few months getting everyone settled in and certain time sensitive matters handled before the kids started school. We had the opportunity to take one or two quick day trips, but haven’t really had the chance to explore the area as much as we’d like to, just yet.

In this area, kids get a week long vacation from school in February for Winter Break. The Westin Copley Place in Boston is offering a fantastic “Stay-Cation” special available, a Kids Vacation Package, to families over the break. It is available from Friday Feb 15 – Sunday Feb 24, 2013.

This package, starting at $199 per night (Complimentary Parking included, $47 value), allows Children 12 and under special discounts and activities, such as:

  • Kids (under 12) eat breakfast free each morning of their stay in the breakfast restaurant, The Huntington ($26 value)
  • Kids (under 12) eat free with the purchase of an adult entrée in Turner Fisheries, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday (up to $25 value)
  • Milk and cookie sent to room at check in ($15 value)
  • Complimentary in room movie each day (up to $16 value)
  • Complimentary in room high speed Internet access ($12.95 value)

Guests and kids can wind down or start the day by enjoying one of the Westin’s daily activities. The list, available upon check-in, may include, but is not limited to:

  • Story time
  • Postcard decorating
  • Movie night
  • Cookie decorating / tour of kitchen

Your family can book this special package online today, or call (866) 716-8121 and reference KIDSCLUB. When you consider the amenities included, such as FREE Parking, Free internet access, and the kids meals, this is a great value.

My kids would LOVE these activities, and Nick is dying to go eat at one of the 5 restaurants located within the hotel, Fogo De Chao. However, the winter break in our town doesn’t begin until Feb 25, so we aren’t able to travel to Boston before then for a visit. Why do we need to stay in a hotel if we live so close to the city? We have several museums and other historic sites we’d like to visit. With traffic going to and from the city, it would save us time and gas money to just spend a couple of nights in town so we can schedule additional activities and eat at the restaurants on our wish lists!

The Westin Copley Place is located at 10 Huntington Avenue in Boston. (617)262-9600.

I’ve not been to Boston but have always wanted to go to see Faneuil Hall Marketplace. My sister has been and she loved it, she said it has everything.
