National Geographic Kids Books

National Geographic Kids Books My kids are very fascinated with learning about topics that interest them. They each have different subjects that are their favorites, but most topics fall into categories that National Geographic covers. As a mom, and former education major, this thrills me! I love that my children love to learn. They enjoy learning facts and trivia, so the six books in this set were perfect for them. When I opened the box, they immediately wanted to browse through each book, and they were shouting out different facts that they found intriguing as they came across them. These…

The Magnolia Story

The Magnolia Story I LOVE  watching all of the home improvement shows on HGTV, and my favorite by far is Fixer Upper. It is so nice to see how CHip and Joanna Gaines interact with one another, the love their family shares, and of course they turn houses into beautiful homes! It makes me want to move to the Waco Area, so they can design the perfect house for us! In The Magnolia Story fans will finally get to join the Gaines behind the scenes and discover: The time Chip ran to the grocery store and forgot to take their new,…

Best Beach Reads

I LOVE going to the beach, and it's essential to have one of the best beach reads tucked away in my bag (or loaded on my Kindle). There's not much that's more relaxing to me than reading a great book while sitting on the beach. When selecting the perfect book to take with me to the beach, I tend to choose from a handful of genres. I like chick lit, suspense/mystery, humor, and legal thrillers. My list of preferred books is probably different than those full of the newest releases, because my list tends to favor my favorite authors. There…

Dr Seuss Themed School Supplies

Dr Seuss Themed School Supplies Each year on March 2, we celebrate Dr Seuss' birthday. It's a nationwide celebration with NEA's Read Across America Day. Thousands of schools, libraries, and other childhood organizations participate with many Dr Seuss themed activities. In the area we live in, many teachers let the kids dress up as their favorite character, they read many of the favorite Dr Seuss books, bring in themed snacks, and play games. As a child I loved reading Dr Seuss books, and later enjoyed reading them to my own kids. I'm looking forward to the day when I can…
