My family recently had the opportunity to try two different Gorton’s Frozen Fish items and I can honestly say they did not disappoint. We’ve always been seafood lovers but I have never found a go-to recipe for fish to make at home that is as good as what we order in a restaurant. Well, search no more! We had Gorton’s Premium Tilapia Fillets and the Skillet Crisp Tilapia with Garlic and Herb Seasonings.

Yum! They both bake beautifully in the oven (although you can also cook in the Skillet Crisp Tilapia on your stove) in about 25 minutes. The smell of the Skillet Crisp Tilapia as it baked was a great precursor. When my husband came home, he immediately remarked on how good dinner smelled. Imagine how happy I was since it came from the freezer! And this is the result:

We don’t eat a lot of frozen foods in our house so I was a bit worried about the reviews from my husband and picky toddler. But a mouthful of fish changed all that! My husband remarked that the Tilapia Fillet was ten times better than the tilapia we normally have (bought at a club store). The breading gave a good crunch without taking away the taste of the tilapia itself. And the Skillet Crisp Tilapia’s seasoning coating was very flavorful without being too strong. And even though I am a tartar sauce junkie, none was needed because the taste and the texture were just too good to mess up! The best review comes from my almost two year toddler, though, who is the pickiest eater you’ve ever met. He asked for the Skillet Crisp Tilapia and ACTUALLY ATE IT! And then asked for more! This meal was a homerun for our house and we will definitely be eating more Gorton’s products in the future. Happy eating!
